accessibility

An important issue here to us at freshSPRING and freshHOPE we actively work to ensure our sites are accessible by any and all. The web is, in a sense, a great leveller and we want to be a part of that, removing barriers.

Hence we are working to PAS-78 and W3C standards for this site to ensure that we meet the needs of all users.

This site is fully accessible as described to the right -->

scalable

The means by which the text is specified on this site allows a user to choose how big the text will be displayed so that those who find it hard to read small text.

images
All images that are non-structural (eg. not tiny corners or lines that are only design-related) have 'alt' text - that is a description of the item will appear when you put a mouse over it and it can be read by a screen-reader.

screen-readers

For the visually-impaired or blind this site can be read using a screen-reader.

We take special care to ensure that text is not encapsulated within an image (it's bad design anyway!) and if it is to ensure the 'alt' text reflects what was written.
